The Role
We are looking for an individual with outstanding customer service skills to join the team working at Queensland Fertility Group as a Practice Manager and admin for one of QFG’s Specialists.
Administrators are important members of this successful healthcare company, and we respect and value the need for experienced customer service focussed individuals working hand in hand with our highly skilled medical team.
This pivotal role will perform all aspects of practice management & administration work involved in a specialist’s clinic. Dad to day task can include, but not limited to; coordinating patient bookings and appointments with specialists, nurses, counsellors and scientists, theatre bookings, phone calls, typing and correspondence, banking, specialist credentialling and concierge activities to optimise the patient experience.
The role would suit someone who has 3+ years experience in a similar role, who is organised and can work independently, as well as being compassionate and sensitive to the needs of our patients undergoing fertility treatments. We believe your strong customer service skills will contribute significantly to the provision of the world class care we deliver.
The position will be located in Spring Hill with varying shifts dependant on the specialists practice hours. These hours can be anytime between 7am - 5pm.
Role responsibilities
- Coordinate patient bookings and appointments
- Update and manage patient information database
- Answer high volume of incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Conduct individualised patient quotations and billing
- Provide support and assistance for patients
- Receipting, daily bank reconciliation and invoicing
Skills & Experience
Obstetrics / Gynaecology / Fertility experience would be advantageous. Experience with Genie, Gentu or a similar software program is desirable.
Applicants also require:
- Outstanding customer service experience preferably in a medical setting
- Impeccable communication skills (verbal and written) and a courteous phone manner
- Office administration and/or accounts receivable
- Sound working knowledge of database systems
- Understanding of patient confidentiality
- The ability to build rapport with patients
- Empathetic and supportive nature
- Knowledge of Medicare and Private Health Insurance
- Knowledge of IVF (desirable)
