Statutory Planning Officer

• 2 Permanent full-time roles available
• Located in Port Fairy

We are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates to undertake the positions of Statutory Planning Officers. The successful applicants for these positions will be responsible for assessing planning and subdivision applications, preparing reports, being customer focused, representing Council at VCAT and ensuring compliance with planning regulations.

To be successful in this role you will need

Qualifications
Essential

• Victorian driver licence

• Tertiary qualification in town planning or equivalent

• Eligibility for membership of Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) is essential.

Key selection criteria 1

• Demonstrated knowledge of planning procedures, policies and guidelines

Key selection criteria 2

• Excellent customer service skills with demonstrated experience in managing customer expectations and identifying customer needs.

Key selection criteria 3

• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with internal and external customers.

Key selection criteria 4

Strong computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software.
