Statutory Reporting Manager
Full Time fixed term role for 12 months

We are seeking a Statutory Reporting Manager within the Health Information Services team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead the team responsible for the management and reporting of timely and accurate submission of statutory datasets in accordance with Department of Health (DH) policies and business rules, and contribute to the hospitals mission of advancing health for everyone, every day.

Your new team:
The Statutory Reporting team is responsible for the submission of timely and accurate submission of mandatory datasets including AIMS, VAED, VINAH, ESIS and VEMD, data quality activities, supporting administrative and ward clerk staff, monitoring transcription KPIs and to complete data reconciliation.
The team sits alongside the clinical coding and scanned medical records teams within the Health Information Services department. These are essential non-clinical services providing high-quality support, expert advice, monitoring and compliance functions to RMH staff and stakeholders.
Your new role:
As the Statutory Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for;
Management of the Statutory Reporting team within Health Information Services (HIS), including annual appraisals, leave management, staff rostering and performance management
Oversee the submission of data within timeframes and provide leadership and support to the team where required
Ensure reconciliation of data is completed between internal systems and data submitted to Department of Health (DH)
Operate and maintain computerised health information systems, including the Patient Administration System (PAS), EMR and any other relevant system used by Health Information Services
Identify issues impacting on all other RMH staff who are required to enter data into PAS and EMR which affects Statutory Reporting
Monitor transcription KPIs and reports
Liaise with a number of internal and external stakeholders
About you:
You have completed a Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent, as well as:
Extensive knowledge and experience in all Statutory Reporting datasets and activity based funding
Ability to manage and lead independently and within a team
Ability to efficiently learn and adapt to new technology and reporting concepts
Effective communication and written skills
Experience in a Health Information Management leadership role
