We operate out of our warehouse and head office facility conveniently located in South-East Melbourne operating our own fleet of distribution vehicles supported by a specialist sales team. 

What you will be doing

We are looking for an experienced Store Person to join our team and manage all activities associated with our warehouse DC.  Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for inwards goods, and all the typical activities occurring in a food warehouse and distribution center including:

• Recording Goods inwards / outwards and stock control
• QA of incoming stock
• Order picking and packing
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Monitoring stock levels
• Rotation of stock actively managing product shelf life
• Managing stock ullage
• Overseeing regular stock takes 
• Communication with Key internal and external stakeholders and liaising with other functional departments Re: inventory control and management including Purchasing, Customer Service, Finance, Logistics and Quality
• Maintaining accurate stock and receipt records on our ERP system
• Actively supporting our HACCP Quality system
• Ensuring good housekeeping practices and high standards of hygiene across the various warehouses on site

What's required?

• Current valid Forklift license - required
• Driver's License - clean and current
• At least 2 years continuous service in a similar environment
• Ability to manage and direct a small team
• Certification in logistics, supply chain, logistics or equivalent (Bonus Points)
• A Police check and pre-employment medical may be required
• Experience loading and unloading trucks
• Experience with ambient, chilled and frozen storage (Bonus Points)
• Experience with enterprise systems and good computer literacy
• Excellent communication skills and stake holder management skills
• Pick packing, palletising stock
• Shrink wrapping (Both manual and machine operated)
• Experience working with bulky products (Bonus Points)
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate data recording
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent WHS knowledge
• An ability to work autonomously and commit to the role in an ongoing capacity
