- Develop and evolve the existing Sustainability strategy, frameworks, and plan
- Lead a team of subject matter experts with a focus on corporate sustainability, investor frameworks and ratings, sustainability measurement and reporting, sustainable procurement and modern slavery
- Deliver and improve existing disclosures: GRI Sustainability Report (inc. materiality assessment); Carbon Emissions Performance Report; Modern Slavery Statement; SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation) report; TCFD (Taskforce on climate-related financial disclosure) report; Shareholder data report; and ESG ratings submissions
- Prioritise across competing opportunities to improve or increase sustainability disclosures and practices to focus efforts on those that deliver the best outcomes for the business and its stakeholders
- Identify and prepare the company for emerging ESG requirements including ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board) IFRS1 and 2; any future reporting on the TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures), and EU Taxonomy, or changing ESG requirements, e.g., Global Reporting Initiative
- Delivery and improvement of ESG investor communications including within investor documents; investor requests for information and lifting the quality of sustainability data to investor quality more broadly
- Coordinate and support functional owners to lift sustainability practices and performance across the business and provide advice on sustainability considerations into programs across the company
- Lead the company approach to Modern Slavery, reporting annually in line with Commonwealth legislation
- Excellent personal communication skills, including gaining support, influencing, convincing, negotiating, presenting, and consulting
- Excellent written communication skills, including preparing and presenting comprehensive briefs, reports, and other material for various audiences
- Ability to influence and facilitate change in large, complex organisations
- Excellent organisational skills: time management; ability to prioritise workloads of team members
- A knowledge of corporate responsibility and its context at a state, national and global level including high-level understanding of current and emerging domestic and international sustainability reporting frameworks
- Ability to identify, foster and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience with sustainability reporting frameworks
- Relevant bachelor's degree, and post-graduate qualifications
- Understanding of key customers, investors, owners and other stakeholders
- Networks within the sustainability and environment space
