About the Team
The Lifetime Learner Experience unit was conceived in 2021 to coordinate and optimise the future learner experience. It consists of three core functions where cross-functional resources will ensure emerging priorities and peak periods of activity are met.
One of these core functions is the Future Learner's team, which consists of International and Domestic Recruitment, Admissions, Scholarships, the Future Learners Contact Centre, and the International Student Services team, where this vacant position is based.
About the Role
We're currently recruiting for one Student Advisor position.
The UTS International Student Centre is the focal point for enquiries from prospective and current international students, educational representatives and members of the public. The Student Adviser, Student Services is responsible for providing efficient and informative advice and case management to enrolled international students and other stakeholders at UTS.
The position aims to support seamless onboarding, commencement and course progression for international students through to graduation and is responsible for monitoring student compliance with ESOS legislation and student visa regulations, including advising students of their obligations.
If successful in applying for this role, you will:
- Handle complex enquiries and provide in-depth advice to enrolled students regarding their progression in their course from admission through to graduation
- Provide case management of enrolled students and, if required, the provision of support to students experiencing particular personal difficulties that impact upon their studies at UTS.
- Issue student visa documentation (Confirmation of Enrolment) for all continuing students who require additional time to complete their course and undertake associated ESOS reporting
- Coordinate international student events
- Participate in and contribute to student conversion activities as required

- Demonstrated effective use of oral and written communication skills in a cross-cultural environment
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, to prioritise tasks, co-ordinate simultaneous projects and meet deadlines
- Experience in applying relevant and applicable policies and procedures in day-to-day functions of the position, such as ESOS legislation and UTS Rules
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients;
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $91,254 - $98,805 pa (HEW 6)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment can be made on a continuing basis.
