The Duratec business have experienced substantial growth in the value, complexity and number of projects that the business will deliver in the coming years.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to join our NSW operations on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for the delivery of Mining Refurbishment Projects across the NSW Hunter Region, working closely with the client.
Experience in the following trades will be advantages:
- Blast and Paint
- Concrete remediation
- Cladding to sheds
- Structural Steel Work
- Rigging and dogging
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and manage a team of supervisors to ensure work is carried out according to project plans and budgets
- Liaise with the engineering, safety, environmental and workshop staff to ensure the best practice
- Focus on project objectives and communicate progress to team members
- Ensure all project operations are compliant
- Ensure work is consistently delivered at a high standard and on time
- Provide input to work plan and understand work scope/specification to determine work plans for the crew and proactively identify project resourcing requirements
- Assist in accurate performance tracking and forecasting
- Ensure all variations are recorded
- Demonstrate and model the commitment to HSECQ procedures
- Participate in workshops, operations meetings as well as conduct regular pre-start toolbox meetings
ABOUT YOU
You will be a motivated and progressive frontline leader, with previous experience in a Project Management or Superintendent role.
Along with a high level of experience in supervising teams you will have;
- Large project experience along with portfolio management experience
- Demonstrated delivery of multiple construction, remediation and/or refurbishment projects
- An understanding of budgeted resources and productivities
- Extensive project management experience with tier 1 mining clientele, with an industry recognised background in blast and paint and/or concrete remediation is highly advantageous
- Ability to influence and drive teams to deliver mining projects across the Hunter region
- A Cert IV in OHS and a Cert IV in Leadership and Management is highly desirable
