ABOUT THE POSITION

Our business seeks an experienced and talented Supervisor Logistics to join our team permanently, working on a family-friendly Monday to Friday roster at our Kwinana Refinery.

The successful applicant will be responsible for facilitating all transport, bulk storage, and logistics activities supporting the ongoing operation and maintenance of the Kwinana lithium process plant(s), and other offsite storage facilities. 

They will provide logistical, procedural, and administrative support to the Superintendent of Logistics and interface with the Sales, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and wider Warehouse and Logistics Team(s). Responsible for forecasting key production inputs, the timing, and delivery of bulk materials and reagents to the site, along with transporting, logistics, and shipping the final product to our customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Ensure all storage and logistics activities are coordinated and conducted in safe and effective manner, with a genuine focus on duty of care, compliance, and continuous improvement. 
  • Oversee the regular inspection off offsite storage facilities and maintain formal evidence.
  • Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislation, taking reasonable steps to manage risk and ensure road safety is not compromised.
  • Ensure all dangerous and hazardous goods are stored and transported in compliance with the associated standards and legislation.
  • Actively pursues and takes proactive steps to mitigate quality control issues with, materials, reagents, documentation, reagents, the packaging of all final product and or byproduct materials. 
  • Drafts and guides policy and procedures in consultation with the wider Warehouse and Logistics Teams. 
  • Interface with the Packaging Team to ensure smooth delivery of shipping containers, and the loading and collection of all outbound Customer shipments.
  • Generates transport and shipping documentation, including but not limited to Bills of Laden, MO41 Dangerous Goods Declarations, Certificate of Origin, Vehicle Gross Mass Declarations, and Packing Lists.
  • Creates Purchase Requestions and Receipting / SESing against the respective Delivery Docks / Tax Invoices for an array of logistics, transport and storage activities and transactions.
  • Validates supplier invoices against logistical services provided and manages any account enquiries with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Reports monthly on all logistics activities and costs, making recommendations on cost reduction strategies and or service improvements.
  • Oversees end of month activities, including drone surveys of reagents, spodumene, TAS and gyplime products.
  • Effectively and positively communicates with direct reports, peers, supervisors, and managers at all levels.
  • Positively and proactively participates in and conducts annual performance appraisals with all direct reports. 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Demonstrated experience in freight forwarding, bulk transport, and shipping.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • International logistics
  • Supply chain activities
  • Bulk haulage and or container transport and or packaging
  • Warehouse, logistics, and facilities management
  • Planning and scheduling
  • SAP experience (advantageous)
  • Formal training in Frontline Leadership or other Logistics or Supply Chain Management activities. (advantageous).
