About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join UnitingSA’s NDIS team delivering Support Coordination & Recover Coach services. You’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on achieving positive relationships, outcomes and connections between our participants and the community. As a NDIS Support Coordinator you will work with clients with complex needs and multiple issues, including mental health. The role is offered on a permanent part-time basis (4-day per week) based in Whyalla.
What will you be doing?
Working collaboratively with the UnitingSA NDIS Support Coordinator Team, you will be responsible for providing a person-centred approach to identifying the goals and aspirations for our participants, which are incorporated within their NDIS plan. Building positive relationships with relevant stakeholders and networking is an important part of the role.
About You:
You will demonstrate a positive and professional "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills. There will be opportunities to work within a team or work as an individual practitioner. You will have experience in providing one on one and community support, along with knowledge of issues in the area of disability and mental health.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of Certificate 4 in Mental Health, and/or two or more years experience working in the mental health sector. A current NDIS Clearance, Working with Children Clearance and current SA Driver’s licence are also required.
