About Us:
Little Wishes is a dynamic and thriving 119-place early childhood service nestled in the heart of Carina. Situated close to neighborhood parks and community services, we offer enriched learning environments that ignite the imagination and creativity of young children.
As a family-owned establishment, we stand apart from the ordinary, championing excellence in our educators and teachers through a strength-based approach that empowers them to shine.
With deeply committed owners who invest passionately in our service, we encourage our team to explore their individual interests and fully immerse themselves in the enchantment of early childhood development.
About the Role:
As we celebrate over six years of successful operation and continue to aspire to even greater heights, we're seeking experienced Certificate 3 educators to support our rooms.
At Little Wishes, we believe in learning alongside the children, letting their curiosity guide the day in an autonomous flow. We deeply respect the 'hundred languages of children' and create space for tranquility amidst the bustle. Acknowledging that families are a child’s first teacher, we nurture a sense of respect and connection with our parents - an ethos we cherish.
As a remarkable educator at Little Wishes, you'll possess a passion for understanding the 'why and how' of placing children at the core of all we do. You'll thrive in championing child-led play in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) guidelines. Recognising our children as complex global citizens, you'll collaborate with them and your team to foster their learning journey. Your innate ability to inspire awe and wonder is essential to your success in this role.
Key Expectations, Skills, and Experience: As a successful applicant, you should:
- Hold a certificate in Early Education and Care
- Be available for a full 7.5-hour shift, 3 to 5 days per week.
- Possess current Blue Card.
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and EYLF.
- Have expertise in child-led play aligned with a play-based pedagogy.
- Be a dedicated team player with exceptional oral communication skills.
- Bring fun, laughter, and joy to your team and children's day.
