About The Role
The Support Services Learner Assistant provides support to students who identify as having a diagnosed disability such as medical, mental health condition and/or learning difficulties, and require additional support.
The role facilitates learning and promotes success for students with disabilities. The position plays a key role in supporting students in all aspects of participating in their studies which may include using identified equipment and aides where appropriate. The position will work across all teaching and trade departments as required.

About You
Duties:
- Deliver routine support to internal and external students to facilitate the student’s ability to actively participate in their studies.
- Address barriers to learning and participation and make decisions on the right ‘course of action’ within documented policies and procedures.
- Manage your workflow and submission of Progress Reports.
- Participate in student debriefings.
Skills & Experience
- A Qualification in Disability, Education Support or Community Services and / or experience working in the disability sector.
- Demonstrated recent experience.
- Or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience.
- Experience with online learning platforms e.g.: Moodle.
