Your new role:
You will ensure the seamless delivery of support contracts and related services to the Defence customer. In this senior role you will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of technical and project professionals with a focus on delivering the highest quality outcomes to the customer.
Your primary areas of responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the specialist teams with accountability for delivering contractual requirements and outcomes for Support Contracts and Support related activities.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met. This includes HDA internal stakeholders, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Identifying potential future support opportunities and ensuring readiness to expand to accommodate future business growth.
- Accountable for managing Support Services project finances, governance, and contract performance reporting.
- Oversee the Support Contract budget, scope and schedule to ensure the Support Services are delivered as planned.
- Liaison with the Defence customer on support contract requirements and delivery.
- Ensuring all contractual key performance indicators are achieved and opportunities for continuous improvement are identified and implemented. This will include close collaboration with the customer and HDA internal stakeholders.
- Manage risks to ensure that key risks are identified, monitored and mitigated.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and provide reports on project status (monthly project reviews and reporting).
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal policies and processes, particularly those relating to Support Services.
As an ideal candidate you will have:
- Substantial experience as a senior manager in a similar role
- Demonstrable Defence experience working in large scale, complex project delivery role/s
- Experience in utilizing ASDEFCON or similar suite (i.e. State/Federal Government) of tendering and contracting templates
- Experience working within a global corporation

- Leadership skills: Proven ability to influence and lead diverse technical and non-technical teams
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, research and project management skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage relationships and positively resolve matters with internal/external stakeholders
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organised and ability to meet deadlines
- Outcome focused and with the ability to deliver quality outcomes for the customer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or Diploma/Advanced Diploma of Project Management, or Certificate IV in Project Management Practice
