Step Up Supports is a registered disability company providing direct disability supports to those living with a disability in the community.
We have a large bank of casual staff and provide hundreds of support shifts each week.
We are seeking someone for a full time office based role to provide the oversight and staff training for the medical care of our clients in 24/7 care.
This role would include the following tasks
- Check of medication logs too ensure that they are completed accurately
- Following up with any reports of medical concerns and action of care plan requirements
- Ensure accurate collection and analysis of data related to sleep patterns, bowel charting, epilepsy and other health conditions
- Provide support and training for staff in manual handling, personal care and other hands on training as required
To be suited to this role you will require:
- Medical registration such as a registered division 1 nurse
- Extensive experience in managing medications, reporting, manual handling and personal care
- You will need to have excellent computer skills and technical proficiency to work within and further develop systems in our project management software.
- Preference to applicants with disability or mental health experience.
These roles are unique and customised to our own software and systems with training provided, however you will need to have a strong computer proficiency and be able to work with a high level of detail.
We are basically seeking a Karen….. organised, ticking off lists, with a little bit of Becky sprinkled on top - after all no-one wants to be a Karen… all the time…
You will need to have a fantastic sense of humour, embrace inclusivity and have an open mind to the complexities of working within complex disability, including corrections.
You will also need to be able to love our in house visiting dog and cat duo, so its not ideal if you are afraid of or allergic to animals.
