Changez is an established Allied Health & Gym business that has been operating since 2006. In 2023, we decided to introduce Support Work to compliment our Therapy Services (Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, AHA, Dietetics and Personal Training).
We believe in providing support services that builds capacity and is outcome based. We have taken the values and culture of our successful therapy team and implemented in the Support Work space.
We are now looking to add Personal Care and are especially seeking those with these skills.
We service a wide range of ages and disabilities but all our participants share the same values of wanting to improve their lifestyles by becoming healthier and more active, as well as building their capacity to become more independent and contribute further to their communities.
We believe in the importance of connections and hence we match our participants with Support Workers that share similar interests and values. Whilst you may work with a variety of participants, it is important that you spend significant time building trust before implementing Plans to help participants reach their goals therefore you will have the opportunity to have consistent shifts and hours with the same participant.
Being part of our support work team will also require working within our large multidisciplinary team in clinic as well as working autonomously in the community providing supports. Our team culture is extremely important to us. We have a team of skilled clinicians with experience ranging from 2-20+ years in the healthcare industry. We believe in investing in our team so you will have multiple avenues of learning and development.
About the Opportunity
There is immediate hours available.
We are seeking a highly motivated, empathetic and energetic Support Workers to join our friendly and professional team.
- Looking for individuals who have experience with in-home care
- Preferably experience with high needs, non-communicable and seizures
- Shifts can range from 4, 8 and 12 hours
- Overnight and weekend work available
- Full admin support and a team leader for support
- Management deals with any conflicts or challenges
- Liase with an allied health team to learn new skills which could be transferred to support work
- Learn to provide Goal-orientated Support Work to help build NDIS participant's capacities and skills for daily living
- Casual Pay rate is minimum $40/hr (inclusive of Superannuation) paid weekly
