About the role
We are seeking values-driven Support Workers who will provide a high-quality support service to clients undergoing Sobering up or Detoxification at Bridge House and to promote and provide a safe, caring and supportive environment in line with TSA values.
You would successfully
- Abide by state government standards and other relevant legislation including but not limited to service contract requirements, WHS legislation, privacy and consent, integrity checks
- Service delivery reflects a high standard of practice where TSA Model of Care and Government contract standards are met
- Identify and use appropriate strategies to deal with challenging or high risk situations
- Report incidents in the required format/s to the manager as per TSA procedures
- Identify service gaps and recommendations for service delivery improvements are made to the manager
- Undertake appropriate care and support for clients under the influence of AOD to address immediate need
- Support clients through withdrawal of AOD and records and evaluates progress
Bridge House provides a residential Low Medical Detox Service and a 24 hour 7 day a week Sobering Up Centre.
We are seeking casual staff to work a variety of 8 hour shifts based in, Highgate WA. Applicants must be able to work night and weekend shifts. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a vibrant team to make a difference in the lives of our clients.
You would ideally have
- Appropriate minimum qualifications of a Certificate 3, working towards a Certificate 4 or Diploma of Community Services (Alcohol & Other Drug Work)
- Demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
- A current WA Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
- CPR Component of First Aid
