The Position
As a Project Manager for switchrooms, you will be project managing the design and construction of purpose built transportable Switchrooms for the Mining, Oil & Gas, Renewables Infrastructure and General Electrical Industry for our customers across Australia for a variety of industries.
As a Project Manager, you will provide leadership to Switchroom Projects, liaise with your site team, and drive the program to an effective and successful conclusion. You will also develop project timeframes and correspond with the relevant stakeholders including the client, and internal staff. The successful candidate ideally has extensive experience working in a Project Management role on small to medium sized industrial projects. This role will offer an immediate start and an attractive rate of pay for the appropriate candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers, develop, and maintain customer relationships.
- Take responsibility for all project documentation.
- Liaise with client regarding design approval and any variations during construction and manufacturing.
- Monitor workshop construction and fit out working with the Operations Manager.
- Inspect completed project prior to dispatch.
- Organise dispatch of completed item.
- Establish and maintain accurate files for all project documentation, which ensure ease of retrieval.
- Aiding the project management team members as required.
The successful applicant will preferably have:
- Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, coupled with effective trouble shooting skills.
- A strong technical background ideally in switchrooms construction or switchboards manufacturing.
- Experience and knowledge on project management principles.
- Ability to manage the competing demands of multi, simultaneous projects.
- Establishing, managing, and reporting on project schedule, delivery, and stake holder management.
- Advanced computer skills predominantly Excel, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of electrical standards and wiring rules.
- Ability to interpret single line diagrams and schematics.
- Switchboard design and experience.
Desired Competencies
- Electrical Trade or Electrical Engineering Qualification.
- Project Management tertiary qualification.
