SYSTEM ENGINEER

We are looking for another Systems Engineer to join our existing talented engineering team on a permanent basis. This will be a client facing role and you will work with many different clients of varying sizes, resolving a wide range of IT issues. 

The day-to-day responsibilities will see you conduct support across all levels and work with our clients on everything including (but not limited too):

•             Identify and solve business problems within the scope of supplied IT services, while exploring opportunities to offer new services to clients.

•             Day-to-day server maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance tasks and reactive fault finding

•             Understand the networks and common IT/business issues of different clients.

•             Microsoft 365 including Tenancy Administration, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Azure AD, Defender for Office 365, Exchange Online

•             Thoroughly document all work and time entries in our ticketing systems.

•             Ensure naming standards, appropriate documentation of full environment is provided and sustained.

•             Foster strong relationships with both your team members and clients.

•             Stay current with technology solutions offered to clients, including M365, Azure Cloud, and Cybersecurity.

•             Experience working with Microsoft Server, Azure, SharePoint, Teams and other Office 365 technologies

•             Experience in operating and maintaining AWS and Azure-based environments

•             Excellent understanding of Microsoft Server and some experience with SQL environments

•             Engage actively with team members and clients during work hours, promoting a positive and enjoyable work environment.

Alongside the support work there are also projects that will be assigned which will see you work on cloud migrations (365, Azure, data centre servers) as well as auditing new business, project managing client company site moves and implementing new network and server environments. 

About You

Our desired candidate will have knowledge of MS, Server 2016 - 2019/2022, Remote Desktop Servers, Networking, MS Windows 7, 10 and 11, MS Office 365, O365 Admin Console, VPN, Intune, SharePoint and AzureAD and be:

 •            Honest and trustworthy individual who takes pride in their work.

 •            Well organized and great time management skills to be able to prioritize jobs and schedule yourself well. 

 •            Have good communication and customer service skills and you take pride in your work

•              3+ years Windows Server Experience
•              5+ years Desktop Support Experience

•             At least 3 years of experience with an MSP or IT Consulting firms.

•             VMWare support knowledge

•             Some Routing, switching and firewall technology knowledge 

•             Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership for tasks.

•             Technical knowledge and competencies in Windows Server setup and maintenance, Azure Active Directory administration, Microsoft 365 system administration, Windows 10/11 support, GPO, permissions, DNS, DHCP, and documentation platforms.

•             Proficient in using PSA/Ticketing systems, such as ConnectWise Managed, HaloPSA, or AutoTask.

•             Familiarity with AutoTask and experience with RMM products like VSA, Automate or other MSP RMM tools.

Remuneration:

The successful candidate will be offered a great salary + Super + Bonuses, depending on skill sets, experience, and certifications.

Eligibility

We require fluent English and must be Australian resident and living in Brisbane.

You must have a current drivers license

Microsoft Office365 and Azure certifications are desired.
