As a growing IT Managed Service Provider, we are on the hunt to find an experienced IT Systems Support Engineer (Level 2) who is interested in moving to a Project Engineer position to join our client’s extremely fast-paced and exciting organisation based in Windsor, Brisbane.

The Role
The IT Project Engineer will be responsible for the overall technical delivery of projects for the clients. This role is expected to deliver projects on time, to budget and in line with the scope of work whilst keeping the clients informed and updated throughout the project.
This would suit someone who is at the service desk in a Level 2 role, looking to progress their career in the projects area! MSP experience is an absolute MUST.
Responsibilities:
- Be the point of escalation for project related tasks
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned projects
- Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
- Developing specifications for the project's required equipment
- Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection
- Perform overall quality control of the work (schedule, plans, performance) and report regularly on project status
- Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Assist in scoping projects /reviewing SOWs where required
- Deploy and configure hardware, software, and networking infrastructure and manage system integration, data migration, and testing processes
- Provide technical support during project implementation, troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer
- Manage client expectations regarding project deliverables, timelines, and potential issues
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
- Proven experience as an IT Project Engineer or similar role, preferably within an MSP environment
- Industry certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) are desirable
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience with infrastructure design, deployment, and support
- Knowledge in project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, vendors and other stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, virtualization, networking, and security concepts is a plus
- Willingness to travel interstate
- Self-Starter / Self Disciplined / Very well Organised
- Current drivers' licence / Ability to travel to Client sites
- Strong understanding of cyber security
- Experience with Microsoft 365 & Azure
- Experienced in networking
