The ICT Operations and Customer Service branch are seeking to establish a pool of HR System Support Officers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of February 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within 2024, up to the end of February 2025.

The Information and Communications Technologies division is seeking to appoint highly dedicated and mediated individuals to the role of Systems Support Officer – HR.

In the role of Systems Support Officer – HR, you will monitor, analyse and evaluate system scheduling, system access and utilisation along with providing information, workable solutions to resolve a wide range of issues.
Suitable applicants will undertake research in relation to Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) transactions and liaise with other business units and external service providers to resolve administrative and operational issues. This will include preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols pertaining to the use of human resources systems.
Suitable applicants will represent the Directorate with a high level of customer focus and deliver systems administration, access control, business assistance and support services to customers. Suitable applicants will provide and contribute to continuous improvement of services along with developing and maintaining effective communication links and working relationships to ensure access to diverse specialist knowledge.

1. Demonstrated sound skills and experience in the use and administration of large and complex human resource management information and payroll systems, including the application of human resource management legislation and policy to support quality outcomes.
2. Demonstrated sound organisational skills, including the ability to deliver agreed results in a timely, efficient and customer-focused manner.
5. Demonstrated sound ability to research, evaluate and interpret end user information requirements, and to develop appropriate suggestions to assist clients with the development of business processes in relation to HR-Payroll systems.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check if required
