About Role:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for staff and students. From troubleshooting hardware/software issues to implementing robust security measures, your expertise will safeguard our systems and data. Your role extends to optimizing system performance, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with vendors for IT procurement.Additional duties may be assigned as needed to fulfill the role's requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and storage
2. Provide technical support for staff and students, resolving hardware/software issues.
3. Implement and enforce security measures to protect IT assets and data.
4. Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans
5. Monitor system performance and optimize resources for efficiency.
6. Maintain documentation and generate reports on system status.
7. Coordinate with vendors for IT procurement and contracts.
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
9. Participate in IT projects and initiatives for system upgrades and migrations.
Key Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated expertise in administering and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases.
2. Ability to implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's systems and data.
3. Experience with security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
4. Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements related to data security and privacy in the education sector.
5. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, students, and external vendors.
6. Experience managing IT projects from planning to execution, including resource allocation and timeline management.
7. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
8. Ability to address user inquiries and technical support requests promptly and professionally.
Please note successful candidates are required to have the following checks:
1. National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) or willing to apply for one.
2. Working with Children Check or willing to apply for one.
