The Opportunity:
As the Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day engineering and logistics activities in accordance with our clients' engineering management system. The project you are supporting delivers integrated cross-class sustainment services, expert advice, and quality asset management.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake requirements engineering activities.
- Undertake design activities as part of the preliminary design and detailed design stages.
- Draft or provide input towards the development of statements of work for acquisition.
- Conduct Verification and Validation (V&V) activities as part of engineering change management activities.
- Implement the system safety program and perform safety engineering activities.
- Develop or provide input towards the development of service requirements as part of maintenance definition.
- Identify items of supply required for codification and liaise with the logistics office to complete codification and cataloguing.
- Logistics support analysis.
- Undertake sparing analysis.
- Perform technical investigations.
- Provide engineering support such as SQEP review, engineering advice, and engineering support for trials.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Defence industry or similar position.
- Eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) clearance on relevant ship systems.
- AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
Desirable:
- Experience in Defence Industry.
- Experience in Marine Systems and structure.
