About us:
Bendigo Kangan Institute is one of Victoria's largest TAFE providers. We offer state-of-the-art training centres providing a wide range of courses in a variety of fields. We foster a culture that is customer-centric, works together and focuses on achieving our best in a healthy and supportive environment. About The Role:
The Talent Acquisition Advisor is responsible for supporting, overseeing, and governing the end-to-end recruitment and selection systems and processes across Bendigo Kangan Institute in consultation with Line Managers. This includes providing support to the Talent Acquisition (TA) team and hiring managers on sourcing and selection strategies that enable the organisation to attract and retain the best talent in efficient timeframes.
Working as part of a small and supportive TA team, the position offers on-the-job learning via regular engagement with People and Culture Business Partners as well as the People Assist function. The role will also enable an early career professional to learn about the education sector and the broad range of talent required to empower a large organisation to meet its strategic goals.
Ideally you will be familiar with the key principles of employment law and support the cultural values of the institute as we grow our commitment to diversity and inclusion. You will need strong organisational skills and the capacity to adapt as the People, Brand and Strategy portfolio transitions to new systems on our continuous improvement journey. If you are a self-motivated do-er with the warmth and communication skills to represent the institute's brand, we look forward to receiving your application.
We are excited about you because you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in similar organisations.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), relevant job boards and platforms, as well as Applicant Tracking Systems and/or HR Information Systems.

We can offer you:
  • Attractive work-life balance and flexible work options
  • Free onsite parking for most campuses
  • Professional development programs
  • Counselling support (EAP) and Health & Wellbeing initiatives throughout the year
  • Meaningful work that drives positive social impact
  • The opportunity to build a career in a world leading vocational education and training sector, with diverse and emerging career opportunities across Australia.
Things we will require from you:
