About the roleThis is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building.The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.DutiesReporting directly to the Lead – Human Resources, the focus of this position is to:Partner with directorate leaders to ensure an understanding of their business needs and provide high quality advice and support on Talent Acquisition / Recruitment matters.Create and develop talent sourcing solutions that deliver on Council's strategic plans and objectives.Manage end to end recruitment and selection, from posting job advertisements, applicant screening, conducting pre-employment checks, offer and acceptance of employment contracts and onboarding in adherence with Council’s Recruitment and Selection Policy.Provide specialised recruitment advice and guidance to hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and effective process.Actively seek and engage with potential candidates through various channels, including social media and professional networks.Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:Tertiary level qualification in human resources, employment relations, organisational development, business, or a similar field, or proven related work experience at a Talent Acquisition or Business Partner level.Experience in a Talent Acquisition/Recruitment role in a complex and diverse organisation.Experience partnering with organisational leaders with a proven track record of delivering quality people outcomes.Effective communication, influencing, negotiation, networking, and customer service skillsExperience working with online recruitment candidate management and selection systems or other demonstrated systems experience.Current Class C Drivers Licence.Proof of Australian residency or citizenshipAbout Shoalhaven City CouncilShoalhaven City Council is a dynamic organisation serving a large and diverse community; limitless opportunity exists for an exciting and rewarding career.
