Exciting new opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join Melbourne Airport's People & Culture team! Maternity leave 12-month fixed-term contract. Develop and enhance your internal recruitment skills!

Supporting the Talent Acquisition Manager this role will work collaboratively across the team to provide end-to-end recruitment support, candidate sourcing & screening, coordination and administration.

We are looking for someone who is driven and motivated to advance their Talent Acquisition skillset and career. This role will provide exposure to all stages of the recruitment process across a very diverse and dynamic business. You will be involved in the hiring of skilled professionals across a wide variety of positions within Aviation, Engineering, Operations, Construction, Technology, Finance, Retail, Commercial Property, Strategy, Planning, Environment and more.

The role will suit anyone within an internal Talent Acquisition/Candidate Sourcing Specialist role, or Agency Recruitment professional looking to make a start in-house.

Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Talent Acquisition Manager and assist with the end-to-end management of the recruitment process  
  • Manage and process candidates through the Live Hire system, including, the creation of jobs, moving candidates through the process and provide candidate update/communication where required
  • Create job adverts and post on relevant channels, Seek, LinkedIn, Indeed, APAC careers, etc
  • Reviewing applications, assessing candidate suitability and initial phone screening 
  • Talent Mapping – Utilising LinkedIn to research and source talent from word searches and selecting a suitable shortlist of candidates for available positions
  • Candidate Sourcing – connecting with passive candidates and discussing live opportunities available at Melbourne or Launceston Airport 
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews (both virtual and in-person) together with the leaders of the business and potential candidates
  • Support on interviews as required 
  • Manage and coordinate communication, including gathering and consolidating candidate feedback from interviewers
  • Support background checking, including organising police, medical checks, etc
  • Preparation and distribution of offer letters/contracts and ensure seamless onboarding process and of new hires on HCM and Payroll systems 
  • Manage new starter documentation and ensure employee records and folders are updated and completed 
  • Support with Talent Acquisition data, metrics and reporting requirements 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in end-to-end recruitment, within a diverse and fast-paced environment. Either internal or agency 
  • Skilled in Talent Acquisition support activities, including candidate sourcing, screening, interview scheduling and administration 
  • Background using a variety of ATS (Application Tracking Systems) and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter for talent mapping and sourcing 
  • Stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong focus on candidate care and delivering high-quality recruitment service 
  • Organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple priorities
