We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join Training Ahead Australia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in role in supporting the organisation's recruitment function and workforce expansion initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include providing extensive recruitment advice, supporting managers and employees in various IR matters, and overseeing recruitment processes.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal team members to identify and approve job vacancies.
- Provide recruitment advices aligned with policies and offer support to managers and employees across various areas including:
- Staffing needs
- Job design
- Terms and conditions of employment
- Remuneration and benefits
- Recruitment strategies
- Recruitment process management
- Design, plan, and implement selection procedures, including:
- Reviewing resumes and applications
- Engaging in recruitment procedures from advertising to conducting interviews
- Verifying references
- Making hiring advices
- Assisting with onboarding process
- Liaise with TAA's external HR advisers and external stakeholders when necessary.
- Expand TAA's workforce nationally through a variety of channels in accordance with each state's regulations and reforms.
- Provide coaching and advice to ensure best practice recruitment at all levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources or a related field.
Requirements
- Prior experience liaising with Fairwork and understanding of awards
- Minimum 2 year experience in a similar role within the rail industry.
- Strong understanding of IR policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms, software and tools is advantageous.
