Smile Partners is a leading orthodontic group, founded by a team of specialist orthodontists and business professionals with a purpose to provide business and management support to orthodontists and their practices. To advance our growth plan, we are creating a new role for a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This role will support the Head of People Culture and leadership team in executing effective Talent Acquisition strategies and people initiatives that support Smile Partners' growth objectives.

You will join a collaborative and high performing team that has grown exponentially in the last 12 months as part of the current growth strategy of the business. Role Overview:

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist at Smile Partners, you will play a pivotal role in driving our Talent Acquisition strategy forward. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will be at the forefront of building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders, including potential candidates and hiring managers. You will have ownership of sourcing and engaging top talent as well as providing coaching and training support to ensure recruitment initiatives align with our organisational goals.

Key to your success in this role will be your ability to build trusting relationships driven by your high integrity, passion and credibility. You will work across a complex stakeholder group and business model, that is rapidly growing and evolving, leveraging data and learnings to systematically improve Talent Playbook execution across Smile Partners practice sites. Your collaborative and engaging approach will be vital as you work closely with various stakeholders to refine and optimise our recruitment processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across the board.

Objectives | What you will get to do

In your first 1 to 3, 3 to 6, and 12 months + we want you to focus energy and resources on driving these 5 key objective areas.

Objective #1: Support Talent Acquisition Strategy Implementation
 
Partner with the Head of People and Culture, the wider HR team, and key practice stakeholders to design and execute a Talent Acquisition Strategy that meets the changing demands for a high growth scaling business where people capability and Talent Acquisition are critical success factors. The strategy will be aimed at uplifting talent capability business wide, both at a group and practice level.

Objective #2: Ownership of End-to-End Recruitment Processes
Manage the full cycle of recruitment processes, from job briefing and candidate sourcing to interviewing, hiring, and onboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers. You will do this by efficiently running recruitment processes with a high rate of successful hires, positive candidate experience, and positive feedback from hiring managers on process efficiency and effectiveness.

Objective #3: Building a Talent Pool and Pipeline in ATS & CRM
Work with key stakeholders in our practices to develop clear workforce plans and then manage talent pools and talent pipelines utilising the right tools, processes and systems to communicate effectively with both hiring managers and candidates. This will involve partnering with the Head of People and Culture to identify, implement and have ownership of recruitment ATS/CRM.

Objective #4: Recruitment Best Practices and Training Support
Coach, train and support hiring managers on recruitment best practices, providing them with the necessary tools and templates. You will do this by improving hiring manager competency in recruitment, implementing learnings early and often through open feedback. Metrics for success will include time to hire, hire quality and hire success.

Objective #5: Knowledge Sharing and Talent Playbook Development
Provide actionable talent insights by identifying trends and traits that are disseminated and integrated through the development and continuous updating of the Talent Playbook. This will ensure hiring managers are equipped with valuable, data-driven insights, processes and tool to make well informed, strategic hiring decisions, ultimately enhancing people capability across the organisation.

  • Strategic Thinking and Adaptability: Align Talent Acquisition plans with Smile Partners' growth strategy and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, clearly communicate with hiring managers and candidates, and influence hiring managers to adopt best practices.
  • Process and Project Management: Efficiently manage the full recruitment cycle, ensuring timely and successful hires with high accuracy while optimising processes.
  • Data-Led Knowledge Sharing: Proficient in analysing and synthesising information to identify trends and traits. Utilise tools such as the Talent Playbook to disseminate key learnings.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Development: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including potential candidates and hiring managers, while providing coaching and training support to enhance recruitment practices and foster professional growth.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track and communicate with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Quickly identify and resolve any issues that arise during the recruitment process. Proactively address challenges to ensure smooth recruitment operations.
