About the roleThe position provides case management and community support to parents/cares based on parenting and life skills including case management, assessments, and advocacy and parenting support. The position works in partnership with an Aboriginal Family Support Worker in providing a range of intervention that aim to improve outcomes for children that focus on parents/cares.To be considered for this position, you will require:

• Degree in Social Work and eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or degree, or post graduate qualifications in Psychology or other related field.
• Demonstrated experience and skills in providing parenting support to vulnerable families that is child focused and family centred including counselling, case management and parenting support.
• Demonstrated case management experience in the context of child and family services and facilitating case conferences.
• Demonstrated experience with in-depth child and family assessments with the understanding of child development and the impact of trauma on children including neglect.
• Holds a current NT Drivers Licence.
