Commencing Immediately | Flexible Part time (24 hours pw)
Forming part of the tax team within the RAC Group, Your day will involve managing/ & reviewing tax compliance/processes, mixing with a community of accounting professionals within the wider business and working collaboratively with various leaders to provide tax expertise and guidance. This position is being offered as a part time opportunity, based in our West Perth office with flexible working arrangements and close to public transport and staff parking.
What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our financial processes, focusing on the following responsibilities:
Preparation and lodgement of income tax returns fringe benefits returns for RAC Group entities.
Preparation and lodgement of ongoing BAS and PAYG Statements.
Assisting with managing statutory reporting obligations.
Providing tax advice and contributing to ad-hoc project work.
Managing and maintaining the group's accounting and tax asset registers.
Conducting research projects to support informed decision-making.
Completing monthly reconciliation of tax accounts.
Preparing and assisting with preparing statutory tax effect accounting and reporting.
What Are We Looking For in You?
We are seeking a dedicated Tax Accountant with the following qualifications and experience:
Experience with preparing corporate Income Tax and FBT returns, mandatory.
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Business are mandatory.
Demonstrated corporate tax experience in commerce or practice.
Proficiency in the use of accounting systems.
Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and unwavering attention to detail to drive accurate and insightful decision-making.
Demonstrated expertise in using Microsoft Excel and Word for Windows.
Experience with Power Query and Power BI desirable.
Strong analytical skills.
Completed or working towards CA or CPA desirable.
