About the role
As a Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Teacher, the successful applicant will ideally possess the capacity to provide a learning environment that is caring, engaging, and use available data to differentiate for a range of learning needs. You will ideally have the ability to deliver the Western Australian Curriculum and have an excellent understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. We seek teachers who have strong classroom management and skills to engage students successfully.
The successful applicant should be motivated and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and challenging learning environment; based on high accountability and sound expectations to ensure all students achieve their maximum potential. You will ideally be flexible, have a strong work ethic, and develop positive, productive partnerships with students, colleagues, and the community.
In the first instance, only applicants with teaching qualifications will be considered. Where there are no suitable applicants with teaching qualifications, applicants without teaching qualifications may be considered.
We will also consider an internal secondment opportunity for permanent teachers in other locations within the Department of Education who would like to work at our school for up to three years and retain their substantive position. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement.
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
