Leadership Opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our busy Day Infusion Service 

About the role:

• You will support the Nurse Unit Manager in the operation of the department, ensuring that the unit achieves excellence in care delivery in line with policies &procedures, best practice and legislative requirements.
• You will also provide leadership and support to all staff to ensure positive patient outcomes are achieved in line with departmental and Hospital strategic objectives
• You will mentor and coach staff and support their professional development in day infusion/oncology/haematology nursing
• Identify opportunities for improvement and lead change
• Work collaboratively with our VMOs to deliver excellent care and services

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring your clinical skillset with strong experience in Oncology/Haematology/Day infusion nursing.  You will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of clinical services.

Excellent time management and well-developed clinical problem-solving skills will be key to your success in this role.  

You will also bring:

Essential:

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Minimum of five years post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
• Minimum of 3-5 years recent working experience within Oncology/ Day infusion/Haematology setting.
• Have completed or be willing to complete a relevant post graduate qualification.
• Having experience dealing directly with VMOs.

Desirable:

• Team leader/in charge experience

This role requires a caring and compassionate nature that enables you to provide supportive care to patients and their families.

Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $60.18 - $64.75  + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances

About the Organisation

Caboolture Private Hospital is a fully accredited surgical and medical hospital situated in the outer Northern reaches of Brisbane - at the southern end of the beautiful Sunshine Coast.We offer 43 beds, 3 fully equipped operating theatres, a 12 chair Day Procedure Unit and a comfortable day oncology unit. The Hospital is collocated with Caboolture Public Hospital.
