About the Role:The Team Leader, Commercial Services West is responsible for overseeing and managing the
day-to-day operations and leading a team in the delivery of visitor and Commercial Services
within Flinders Chase (including the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre and KI Wilderness Trail),
Kelly Hill and Cape Borda.

Essential Qualifications:
- Capability and competency in working effectively with a range of stakeholders is essential.
- A Tertiary qualification in Management, Environment Management, Business, Marketing or related disciplines is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of tourism marketing strategies and experience in the application of both online and offline strategies to promote sales.
Special Conditions:
- Kangaroo Island’s National Parks commercial businesses operate seven-days a week with seasonal peaks. The position may necessitate flexible working hours.
- Will be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
- Will be expected to ensure representation at relevant parks, tourism and industry forums.
- The position is based at Flinders Chase National Park with some travel to Kingscote required.
- A current Australian (or equivalent) “C” class driver’s licence is essential. 4WD experience is desirable.
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Department requiring you to obtain a National Police Clearance (NPC).
- May require some intra/interstate travel.
Remuneration:
ASO5 $84,522 min - $94,003,000 max p.a.
