Position Overview
Based in Port Lincoln, South Australia the Bathing Team leader role reports to the Lease and Bathe Supervisor and oversees the day-to-day Bathing operations to ensure the safe, effective and efficient execution of operational plans. The position plays a key role in leading and organising crews to support the bathing process and works closely with the Fish Health Team.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience and broad knowledge of aquaculture operations with the ability to lead and develop teams and positively influence organisational culture.
The position requires proven leadership skills, excellent communication and the ability to adhere to company standards and ensure compliance with Clean Seas WHS policies and procedures.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day Bathing operations
- Lead and organise crew to support high quality bathing as per SOP
- Ensure housekeeping of bathing vessel
- Lead daily start up and weekly meetings
- Manage working hours to support planned work
- Work closely with Fish Health Team to ensure fish health
- Lead Bathing Team to assist with Lease and Grid work
- Determine priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Lead by example supporting a safety-first culture and continuous improvement
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of safety related hazards and incidents
- Conduct regular performance and development reviews with each team member
- Ensure compliance with Clean Seas WHS policies and procedures
Qualifications / Skills Required
- Relevant Aquaculture qualifications/certifications
- Proven experience and leadership in Aquaculture operations
- Good understanding of continuous improvement processes and practices
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams
- Ability to provide clear and concise instruction and leadership
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Good problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to ensure compliance with Clean Seas WHS policies & procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
- Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia
