About the role
Lead and oversee a small team at EPA, specialising in contaminated land regulation in Western Metropolitan Melbourne Region. Drive education, compliance monitoring, inspections, and enforcement actions, with a focus on preventative measures aligned with critical programs.
In this role you will:
Lead and inspire a team to uphold high standards of performance and accountability in environmental protection.
Actively contribute to initiatives like the Contaminated Land Program and Incident Management System.
Drive investigations and compliance programs aligned with EPA's regulatory goals.
Partner with stakeholders to enhance environmental and public health outcomes.
Execute administrative tasks to meet regulatory objectives, ensuring compliance with Government and EPA policies, including finance, safety, and conduct standards.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in leadership, ideally within environmental regulation.
Comprehensive knowledge of frontline regulatory operations and government legislation.
Proven track record of building and sustaining relationships for collaborative delivery of outcomes.
Proficiency in managing contaminated land and landfills, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences (Desirable).
