About the role
The Gas Team Leader is responsible for leading field resources, ensuring delivery quality is maintained for Gas Metering programs (gas meter delivery and inspection etc). This will be achieved through the leadership of operational matters with plumbers, technicians, electricians, subcontractors, scheduling and other allocated resources as well as managing relationships with internal and external colleagues, clients and stakeholders. This position will be based out of Old Guildford and you will be provided with a Tool of Trade vehicle.
Key Responsibilities include
- Building relationships and knowledge within the team
- Ensuring meter installation is compliant according to specifications & Network Operator Rules
- Ensuring enforcement of Safety Standards for Gas Fitting and integrity of meter installations
- Managing and monitoring quality control of gas meter installations (domestic and commercial)
- Ensure that they meet regulatory compliance and meet contractual and business KPIs;
- Safe Work Method Statements, Work Instructions, policies and procedures.
- Coordinating financial forecasts, baselines and facilitating change management for portfolio
- Providing reliable data and reports for review by delivery teams to monitor the programs
- Providing analytical skills to support the delivery of the program
- Driving real-time, what-to-do-next and what-if analyses and implementation of solutions
- Developing and strengthen relationship with Asset Management, Finance and Delivery Teams to ensure that customer expectations are met whilst matching delivery capabilities
About You
Working knowledge of construction, maintenance and operation techniques as applied to gas networks will see you successful in this role, as well as proven ability to manage contracts with external service providers and computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP. You will also possess working knowledge of the regulations and statutory requirements associated with HS&E, employee and industrial relations (including awards), contracts and knowledge of relevant codes and regulations, as well as the following competencies:
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job
- Valid Plumbing License (essential)
- Minimum plumbing trade experience
- Construction Industry Standard – site induction card (white card)
- Current driver’s license
