About the Role
CFA's Lessons Management Centre (LMC) collects, analyses, disseminates and supports the application of learning from events, exercises, programs and reviews. With a focus on continuous improvement, the LMC aims to ensure enhanced outcomes for the community, greater fire fighter safety and reduced risk, across all aspects of operational response.
We are currently seeking a Team Leader Lessons Management to lead the Lessons Management Team ensuring the quality and timeliness of lessons analysis and products such as articles, case studies and reports. The role also involves improving the processes and tools that support the capturing, analysis and sharing of learnings identified through reviews, debriefs and observations. It is also responsible for fostering effective interagency and cross-jurisdictional relationships to facilitate collaboration and leading practice outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on operational response and firefighter safety. You will join a dynamic team and collaborate with various stakeholders to drive positive change whilst contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that directly benefit the community.
About You
The successful candidate may have experience working within a Lessons Management Framework, such as the 2019 AIDR Lessons Management Handbook used within the Australian Emergency Management sector. You will ideally be tertiary qualified in project management or community engagement with sound experience in project management approaches and methodologies.
With well-developed communication and facilitation skills you will not only be able to liaise effectively with CFA volunteers and employees, government agencies, external clients and service providers but also represent CFA at external forums.
