Due to expansion within our leading business, we have an opportunity for a highly motivated and driven professional to join our Production team in the capacity of Team Leader for our Afternoon Shift.   We are looking for a passionate industry Team Leader who is willing and capable of making changes towards continuous improvement, whilst adapting to a growing and evolving organisation.  The ideal candidate will have leadership experience as a line leader, 2IC or Step-Up Team Leader or Team Leader experience of a large team within a fast-paced Food Manufacturing / FMCG environment.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Supervisor and team members to meet and exceed their performance standards
• Mentoring and coaching the team to deliver exceptional quality and results each day
• Leading by example in following all company procedures, using safe work practices and being results orientated without compromising safety or quality
• Knowledge of machine operations and equipment and willing to learn multiple type of machinery
• Show strong people management skills and openly communication with team members and management
• Assist with conducting scheduled toolbox meetings

What you need to have:

• Previous experience as a Team Leader or Line Leader supervising in a similar food manufacturing factory is highly desirable
• The ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Able to liaise with all team members and managers
• Can work in a cold environment
• The ability to work within strict food quality standards and guidelines
• Have a great eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills, literacy and numerical skills

*** The position is permanent Monday to Friday from 1pm to 9.06pm, but flexibility is required ***
