Our team is dedicated to protecting and enhancing conservation reserves spanning from the McPherson Range to Southern Moreton Bay.
Your role will lead NAC's Restoration team to ensure the continuous delivery of best practice and innovative ecological restoration for the city. The team, which consists of ecological restoration professionals and staff responsible for running the City's NaturallyGC program, is high performing and diverse. Your responsibilities will include managing the team's workflow, projects, contracts, and budgets effectively.
What you bring to your new role:

Your expertise in leadership, communication, ecological restoration, strategic planning, budget management, and reporting will be instrumental in achieving successful outcomes. You should possess superior project and program management skills, along with the ability to navigate and communicate complex issues and allocate resources effectively.
As an experienced ecologist and/or conservation land manager, you should have extensive expertise in ecological restoration, revegetation projects, biodiversity offsets, GIS/mapping, ecological monitoring, and community engagement. Your analytical acumen and problem-solving skills should be complemented by exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
You should demonstrate a strong commitment to the safety of your team, particularly in remote areas of the city, by providing a secure and supportive work environment.
If you are passionate about conservation, possess a forward-thinking, growth mindset, and thrive in dynamic environments, we invite you to connect with us. Join our team and contribute to making a meaningful impact on our environment and community.
The City of Gold Coast is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to promoting an inclusive and diverse workplace.
