The Team Leader Solutions Capability reports to the Section Manager IT Service Delivery and is part of the team responsible for working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to deliver infrastructure solutions that align with CASA's strategic requirements.
This role is responsible for the oversight and provision of a suite of user support services, incident resolution and management, and IT infrastructure.
The role works in collaboration with the wider Information Technology branch to deliver and support infrastructure services to CASA and our external customers.
As the role supports critical IT infrastructure operations, there is occasional out of hours work, and there may also be the requirement for some rostered on-call which will support CASA's day to day business needs.
In addition to the IT infrastructure and Cyber Security focussed activities, this role is responsible for oversight of cloud services, data centre hardware and physical servers within CASA offices.
The key duties of the position include
The Team Leader Solutions Capability under broad direction is responsible for, but not limited to:
• Provide leadership and coordination to the Solutions Capability team.
• Coach, motivate, mentor and train team members.
• Collate and disseminate Solution Capability team reporting.
• Management of new projects/initiatives including transition into operations.
• Represent Solution Capability team at the Change Advisory Board and other governance forums.
• Manage, update, and deliver the Solution Capability team workplan.
• Oversee the team's work queue to ensure incidents and requests are being actioned in line with service level agreements.
• Ensure as-built documentation and standard operating procedures are maintained and updated as necessary.
• Oversee continual service improvement over the team's span of control.
• Create a positive culture.
• Perform Capacity and Lifecycle Management across the team's span of control.
• Oversee and coordinate the support, troubleshooting, and uplift of CASA infrastructure services.
• Leading and exemplifying workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and environmental management in the workplace and acting in accordance with CASA's Values and Behaviours.
Our ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate must demonstrate the following:
• Previous ICT technical leadership experience is MANDATORY.
• Minimum of three years' experience in an ICT system administrator role in a private and/or government organisation with more than 150 staff.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team and to perform in line with workplan and wider organisational objectives.
• Demonstrated experience in the configuration and operation of on-premises ICT infrastructure and cloud services.
• Demonstrated experience in the Information Security Manual (ISM) controls.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills, particularly in discussing technical matters with non-technical people.
• Strong understanding of ITIL Processes and how Change Management integrates with the other ITIL Processes.
• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and potential solutions.
• Experience managing medium to large projects including a proven track record of meeting project objectives/deliverables.
• Significant knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies, technology directions and strategic application to business needs.
• Relevant tertiary or formal qualifications would be highly regarded.
• Ability to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees in a sensitive, respectful and equitable manner.)
