We are currently delivering the Sydney Metro West - Western Tunnelling Package and have also commenced construction of both the $1.35B Coffs Harbour Bypass and $1bn M1 Motorway Extension Southern Package in joint venture arrangements.

The Role
Working across our national portfolio of projects and tenders you will be responsible for leading the Geotechnical design management and investigation during pre-contracts and project delivery. This will include:
- Undertaking Geotechnical Risk Assessments
- Auditing of Geotech and Temporary Works
- Contribute to value engineering processes for tenders and projects in design
- Investigate and help resolve project delivery issues
- Building and developing geotechnical expertise and resources within Gamuda Engineering
Your skills & experience
You will have a Bachelor in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering and local or international experience working with major construction companies and/or engineering consultancies in the design and delivery of large scale infrastructure projects including tunnels. Ideally you will have professional experience as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer or Geotechnical Lead, your specific skills and experience will include:
- Successfully leading geotechnical design management and investigation on major infrastructure projects including road, rail and/or tunnelling projects
- Have established relationships with key client stakeholders and leading design consultancies within Australia
- A track record of delivering innovation and efficiencies in the design of major projects
- A strong focus on safety and understanding of geotechnical risk in safety
- A commitment to developing both the technical and personal capability of your team
