Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc Environmental Monitoring and analysis
- Provide scientific support during environmental incidents
- Ensure accurate data entry and management in the Laboratory Information Management System
- Calibrate and maintain field and laboratory instruments to NATA standards
- Engage with customers and the public, upholding high safety and service standards
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Science or related field
- Class C Licence and ability to work in varied conditions
- Vaccinations for Hep A & B
- Familiarity with NATA accreditation requirements and laboratory procedures
- Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team to deliver quality results
- Proven knowledge in water, wastewater, and environmental sample analysis
- Experience with microbiological/chemical analysis and quality assurance procedures
- Skilled in the use of laboratory data systems and field analytical equipment
Desirable:
- Experience in aquatic ecology, including surveys of fish and macroinvertebrates
- Boat Licence for fieldwork
