Position
We are seeking a self-motivated candidate who has knowledge and experience in agricultural products. The Technical Sales Representative will be required to service Victoria and Southern NSW.
The candidate should possess the following skills:
- Excellent people skills to help establish and maintain relationships with new clients in Victoria and Southern NSW.
- A self-starter and can work un-supervised.
- Must have a genuine interest in helping farmers to improve their productivity, with sales and after sales support.
- Must be extremely organised with the ability to maintain a digital prospects.
You will perform some of the following duties:
- Close and grow sales through developing a sales relationship with existing and potential buyers
- Maintaining a record of customer communication and contact information using CRM program ZOHO.
- Visiting clients on various farms to establish/build relationships and encourage long-term buyers.
- Researching the current market trends and learning about new technology products
- Assessing the customers’ needs and recommending products including explaining technical concepts in simple terms.
- Identity and resolve customer’s concerns and provide a solution to their concerns.
- Maintain knowledge of competitor’s products and customer’s changing needs within the Precision Farming Industry.
- At point of order, negotiate contracts and organise the delivery and installation of goods.
- Periodically check up on clients to see how the on installations are working and offer additional products.
- Maintaining sales reports and business expenses as well as reporting to Management about sales made.
Education and Experience
The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications or relevant technical experience in the Precision Technology industry, along with knowledge of agriculture and agricultural systems, preferably in the grains industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, can set and achieve relevant goals, along with excellent planning and organisational skills. Flexibility to travel interstate and overseas on occasion is required. An understanding of Precision Planting products would be a benefit.
