The Opportunity:
Due to ongoing growth and expansion, there is an exciting opportunity for a career-driven candidate who is experienced in Technical Sales and business development. The role will see you dealing with client inquiries, warm and cold calling, interpreting drawings, and providing technical support. There will be some site work involved and the ability to build relationships both internally and externally will be required.
Key responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for clients providing technical support and product information.
- Manage online sales inquiries and sales calls through the CRM and web system, providing high-level customer service in industries such as Mining, Oil and gas, and Engineering.
- Preparing quotations, Interpreting drawings, and providing solutions
- Increase efficiencies, reduce downtime, and monitor repairs and maintenance
- Site visits - client technical support and management
The successful candidate will be technically minded and have a general grasp of mechanical or engineering principles. It will suit someone who has come from a strong sales background within a technical environment or has an engineering or technical trade background.
Key Requirements:
- 2-3 years of internal sales experience within a technical environment
- Mechanical trade or degree qualified (mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics)
- Motivated by KPIs and sales targets
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Be a hands-on, practical person with a good technical ability
