Technical Support Specialist - Rail Markets

Your New Opportunity:

Due to massive growth we have a career opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist to join our high performing national Off-Highway Engineering & Technical Support team.  This role will be located in Chipping Norton, providing Technical Support in the rail market to internal and external stakeholders.

In this role you will:

• Provide Technical Support to Penske's service teams, OEMs and end customers in the Rail market within Australia and New Zealand.
• Provide troubleshooting support to Penske technicians.
• Liaise with MTU factory representatives to facilitate Technical Support.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers and OEMs, and key suppliers, management and staff.
• Work internally with Parts & Service with regard to support issues and elevate appropriately within the Technical Support team.
• Work within the Technical Support team on failure analysis.
• Support team improvement projects in collaboration with Technical Service management.

About you:

• Technical engineering qualifications or relevant trade & industry experience.
• Knowledge and experience of Penske/MTU products and services is desirable.
• Practical experience in Rail/Industrial markets would be a benefit, but not essential. 
• Computer literacy to a level necessary to manipulate spreadsheets, develop effective presentations for internal/external customers and write technical reports.
• Ability to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to technical, application and other related issues.
• Effective time management and sound administrative ability.

• Ability and comfort to travel with a role requiring a degree of regular travel within Australia and New Zealand.
