Organisational Placement
Reporting to the Technology Applications Director, the Technology Application Specialist (CNC) will work as a liaison between customers and Biesse to assist the commercial team to meet customer needs and provide insight and guidance on emerging trends. The Technology Application Specialist will provide a link between Commercial, Service and Marketing and Communications Divisions to ensure promotion of new and modified machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed technical consultation to existing and prospective customers regarding machine specifications, capabilities and tolerances;
- Undertake detailed analysis of customer needs in terms of development of new equipment and modifications to existing machinery;
- Provide designs / blueprints / proof of concept for to develop modification to existing machinery/equipment and provide new product offerings in line with customer feedback and needs;
- Liaise with Biesse manufacturing arm to regarding technical and financial feasibility for modifications to existing machinery/equipment and new product offerings;
- Communicate new product, technology and service opportunities, special developments, information and feedback gathered to line managers and product areas as appropriate
- Develop and be responsible for all the technical specification and composition of the machines stocked in the assigned territory
- Contribute to action plans and schedules to increase sales volume in Biesse’s sales territories
- Maintain product knowledge and sales materials to reflect current specifications and capabilities
- Maintain and update company CRM as required
- Prepare a variety of status reports including closing, follow up and adherence to goals
To succeed in this position you will have:
- Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or closely related discipline is required
- Industry Experience specifically with CNC machinery
- High level customer service skills
- Experience with customers, managing multiple projects and high level negotiation and project management skills
- Significant experience with designing and manufacturing process, testing and modifications of industrial equipment (machinery).
- Excellent multi-tasking ability
- Ability to identify problems and provide good solutions
