Founded in 1847, St Peter’s College is an Anglican boarding and day school for boys committed to being an exceptional community of learning centered on truth, respect and service.

About the position
We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our Senior School for the duration of Terms 2 to 4 in 2024 on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of academic excellence and fostering a passion for scientific inquiry among our students. This temporary position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational journey of our students while upholding the values and standards of St. Peter’s College. A teacher in our Senior School will strive to create a learning environment that enables all of our students to flourish. With students from Early Learning Centre to Year 12, our School caters for a wide range of student backgrounds and abilities. The successful candidate will have:
Education/Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- South Australian Teachers Registration.
- South Australian Working With Children Check.
- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) Certificate (Fundamentals & Masterclass).
- First Aid Certificate.
Experience:
- Experience teaching the department subject area at Senior Secondary level.
- Experience in the use of IT resources and software.
Skills:
- Teach the agreed curriculum in the department subject area from Years 7 to 12.
- Incorporate the use of digital technology into the investigation, teaching and learning of department subject area.
- Apply the policies and practices of WH&S, Equal Opportunity and Risk Management.
