The Role:
This role is responsible for executing OTC sales and marketing strategy through developing relationships and business priorities with key pharmacies and buying groups in their territory. Ultimately the Territory Manager is to be recognised as a trusted advisor and partner with the decision-makers in the targeted pharmacies within the Western Sydney, NSW Territory.
Key Responsibilities
This role will focus specifically on building and developing relationships with pharmacy owners/managers, pharmacists, dispensary technicians/managers, store managers, pharmacy assistants, and group managers/procurement with the following core areas.
- Driving new product launches and strategic marketing campaigns, to
- Understanding and analysing pharmacy-driven targets/goals and performance (monthly, quarterly etc.).
- Interpret and identify rebates attributed to each pharmacy based on performance measures.
- Allocate bonus stock according to performance and contractual arrangements.
- Promoting (selling-in): OTC product portfolio, established (expansion products), and new launches (NPD).
- Demonstrating business acumen, market knowledge, and ability to make tactical decisions and choices to increase sales within the pharmacy through deals and promotions (monthly and seasonal).
- Ensuring that the Territory Manager gains commitment to promotional programs/stock drops when promoting key focus area products.
Key Skills and Requirements
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Territory Manager within the pharma or FMCG industry.
- Natural-born communicator and negotiator, with the ability to influence and inspire others
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong relationships
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required
- Monthly Country Travel is required to ensure coverage of territory and meeting key business meeting requirements.
