Cairns Adventure Group embodies the Australian spirit of adventure, with nine unique companies showcasing the very best North Queensland has to offer. Locally Owned – Since 1986, we’ve been conducting water-based tours. Over the years, we’ve extended our portfolio, to provide market leading rainforest experiences to our valued guests and clients. We’ve built a reputation for the highest quality service, exemplary training and safety standards.

Our People – Are passionate, professional, light hearted and have a vast knowledge of the regions’ wildlife, rainforest, weather, history and rich Aboriginal culture. Our Guides are fun and professional, ensuring everyone has an experience to remember Active Tropics Explorer and Waterfall Wanderers are our two companies that conduct tours to the rainforests of Far North Queensland

Currently we are seeking multiple staff to join our team with ongoing regular hours available to the right candidates.

Qualifications & experience

• All applicants must hold a current Light Rigid (LR) drivers license & Drivers Authorisation.
• Experience as a Tour Guide is highly regarded.
• Training is provided before commencement of employment and will require you to go along on tours with another guide. The number of training days varies depending on experience.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Conducting guided rainforest tours within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Visiting areas including Daintree National Park and the Atherton Tablelands.
• Providing commentary about the local area to our guests and delivering an unforgettable experience.
• Driving a 27 seater bus in a safe and professional manner.
• Working with local businesses we partner with on our tours.
• Collecting of some payments, daily checks on buses and daily reports on tours.
