Town Planner

The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive early career Town Planner to join Urban Strategies. You will be working with our experienced team to assist in the provision of a range of planning services that will include land use planning, project planning and strategy, and application management.
To be successful in this role you will require:
- A Town Planning degree recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA)
- Demonstrated 1-3 years’ experience in a planning role (motivated graduates are also encouraged to apply)
- Previous experience in development assessment and land use planning highly regarded
To undertake this role you will ideally possess the following competencies:
- A sound knowledge of relevant planning and other related legislation
- A broad understanding of current planning issues and general policy direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to effectively problem solve
- The ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environments
- Be highly motivated and an active team player
