Access theAccountabilities include:
- Review state and local government planning documents to assess their implications for Transport and Main Roads and provide response to those documents on behalf of the Region.
- Provide specialist advice in respect to development applications in accordance with the Planning Act 2016 (PA), the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 (TIA) and the State Development Assessment Provisions.
- Provide specialist advice in respect to applications and/or enquiries relating to Road Advertising Signs, Notifiable Road Uses, Works in State-controlled Road Reserves, Ministerial Designations, and so on.
- Assist in the identification and provide advice on modifications or adaptions to town planning documents.
- Manage development applications and other small projects throughout their life cycle including the efficient application of project management tools in relation to town planning.
- Assist in the co-ordination of all operational tasks to ensure successful completion of activities within time, quality, cost and stakeholders expectations.
- Apply relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements in respect to development assessments and transport planning.
- Liaise and consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to road infrastructure development activities in the region.
- Possession of a degree in Town Planning or Environmental Planning qualification or acceptable equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
- A current Class 'C' Drivers Licence Desirable requirements:
- Working knowledge of the eDAM, PARC and Imaps systems, the role of advice agencies and the State Assessment and Referral Agency.
