Trainee Mortgage Broker

The Chocolate Money Trainee Mortgage Broking course is designed to provide eager, enthusiastic and motivated individual who has no finance experience with a career pathway into mortgage broking. 

The program is a 2-year full-time commitment, with the initial role being focused on basic administration training. As the successful individual achieves the benchmarks, they will progress from the initial Trainee Loans Packager role to the Loans Packager position.  They will be assigned to an experienced Mortgage Broker to assist with day-to-day activities, loan packaging, problem solving, matching lenders with client’s needs for review by the Broker.

Finally, the person will be eligible for promotion to a Trainee or Junior Mortgage Broking role allowing the candidate to begin to process applications as a broker while still having a senior broker's oversight.

This program is a combination of on the job training, classroom teaching, mentoring by an experienced broker as well as the ability to complete a Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking, followed by a Diploma in Finance (Mortgage Broking).
 

The 2-year program is designed for a motivated, capable and enthusiastic individual who is looking to enter the mortgage broking industry without prior experience and transition through the following roles:
1.  Trainee Loans Packager (month 0 to month 6) - $53,000 incl super p.a.
2.  Loans Packager (month 6 to month 18) - $55,000 to 63,800 p.a. incl super
3.  Trainee / Junior Mortgage Broker (month 18 to month 24) - $71,500 p.a. - $82,500p.a. incl super
4.  At the completion of the 2-year program there is scope to continue as a Junior Broker or transition to a full Mortgage Broking position and take advantage of the uncapped earning opportunity.
